The UAPE is the largest and strongest public organization of polygraph examiners in Ukraine.

Any public organization is based on an idea that unites people. The core idea of the UAPE is the scientific, methodological and legal development of Ukrainian polygraphology, promotion and support of professional, responsible and honest polygraph examiners.

Thanks to the hard work of many polygraph examiners, Ukrainian polygraphology has gained significant recognition over the 27 years of its formation and development: the use of a polygraph is provided for in 6 laws of Ukraine, the methodology for conducting forensic psychological examinations using a computer polygraph is included in the Register of the Ministry of Justice, two State Standards are in force, and the profession of polygraph examiner has become in demand and highly paid.

For experts familiar with the historical patterns of polygraphology development in different countries of the world, it was predictable that at this stage we were likely to face problems based on people who should not be in our profession. Incompetence and a focus on making money at any cost threaten us now in the same way that they threatened US polygraphy in the 1980s.

At the beginning of 2025, the UAPE publicly demonstrated cohesion, commitment to high moral and ethical standards, efficiency, determination and the ability to self-purification. All of this was made possible by the UAPE Polygraph Training School, which celebrates its 10th anniversary this year.

On May 26, we started the next polygraph training courses. We have 20 future specialists studying with us. We hope that from the first day of teaching, we will make every effort to ensure that all of them choose the path of a worthy professional, a Ukrainian polygraph examiner – a member of the UAPE!
